Samsung announced they have just passed the 30 million unit milestone for their Galaxy SIII smartphone. In September Samsung announced
20 million SIII's sold. Looking at the last month and a half, with
direct competition with the iPhone 5, they have sold 10 million units. It seems undeterred from selling well even though the iPhone 5 was released toward the latter half of September.
The holidays will fair well for Samsung. With Galaxy SIII sales staying strong and the release of the just announced Nexus 10 they may be on track to see a record holiday season.
